Bloch IM009B Warm-Up Booties - Design & Comfort

The secret to the IM009B is its wonderfully simple construction. A lightweight 100% nylon outer shell surrounds generous 100% polyester padding, creating the soft, puffy insulation that gives the booties their signature cosy feel.

A cushioned heel adds softness underfoot, while the adjustable bungee toggle around the top lets dancers gently secure the boot around the ankle. A branded pull tab makes them easy to slip on when moving quickly between class, rehearsal and backstage.

There is even a small external bungee loop for adding a favourite charm, a tiny detail, but one that feels perfectly at home on a bootie dancers often make very much their own.

A genuine ballet-world icon. The original Bloch Warm-Up Booties were designed by former American Ballet Theatre principal dancers Irina Dvorovenko and Max Beloserkovsky.

Bloch IM009B Dance World Fit Advice

Wearing barefoot, with socks or ballet shoes:
Choose the Bloch size range that corresponds most closely with your normal shoe size. These booties are intended to have a relaxed, padded fit rather than fit closely like dance shoes.

Wearing over pointe shoes:
Choose the next size up to allow additional room for the pointe shoe and toe box.

Between two bootie sizes:
We generally favour the roomier option. A little extra space works naturally with this style and preserves that wonderfully cosy feel.
